Technology for Preventing the Wax Deposit Formation in Gas-Lift Wells at Offshore Oil and Gas Fields in Vietnam

Within the past few decades, production of high-wax oils at offshore fields in Vietnam has been fraught with severe problems due to intense formation asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits (ARPD) downhole oil and gas equipment. The organic wax tubing string led a significant decrease gas-lift wells production, efficiency compressor units, transport capacity piping systems, along an increase equipment failure. Subsequently, dramatically decreased less than 40% as whole. existing methods technologies for combating deposit have many advantages. However, their use producing anomalous does not entirely prevent leads reduction capacity, treatment intervals. results theoretical experimental studies presented this article demonstrate that promising approach improve during is technology periodic injection hot associated petroleum (APG) into annulus oil-producing well. effectiveness proposed method highly depends on combination factors: determination intensity well implementation set preparatory measures determine optimal mode APG (flow rate depth) between strings technological pipes. depth should be string. determined by analyzing mathematically modeling system based well-known thermodynamic laws.
